Albert Berces is principal and founder of Berces Design, an independent, client-focused graphic design agency specializing in print and web design.

Berces has more than 15 years experience designing and creating print collateral, logos, brochures, newsletters, trade magazines, annual reports, and websites. He has extensive experience in art direction, having served as art director for a range of clients, including Public Forum Institute, Hollywood Tans DC, National Catholic Educational Association, and the Observatories of Carnegie Institution.

He has designed and developed promotional materials for well-known national organizations including the Carnegie Institution of Washington and Catholics for Choice. He recently designed and developed a new marketing campaign for Full Circle Fitness Coaching. He has also designed the logos for ModelMetricks and Fish Combination.

Prior to founding Berces Design in 2004, he was senior graphic designer at Hasten Design Studio, Inc., in Washington, DC, for nearly 10 years. While there, he worked on a variety of public, private and nonprofit accounts, including National Environmental Trust, United States Institute for Peace and American Bar Association. He developed comprehensive new print materials for Consumer Bankers Association, and led rebranding and logo development efforts for Management Options, Inc.

Berces began his design career as a graphic designer at Lomangino Studio, Inc., a Washington, DC, design agency, where he was responsible for designing print collateral, logos, newsletters, brochures and trade magazines.

Berces is experienced in a range of design software, including Quark, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweavers, Flash and Freeway Pro.

Berces also brings to all his work a strong personal commitment to protecting the environment and conserving natural resources. This commitment is reflected in many of the actions big and small that the company takes every day, including its "paperless office" approach and the solar hosting of its website.

Berces received his Bachelor Degree in Art from The American University in Washington, DC.
